Mission Statement
Reality Unlimited’s core ambition

“To present abstinence as the very best sexual decision for singles and to be Greater Portland’s resource for articulating this message as a positive, realistic, and attainable lifestyle”

Statement of Beliefs
Reality Unlimited’s core beliefs

We hold the firm belief that sex is the best when it is under the context of marriage. We also believe that our culture has communicated that it is not a realistically viable option to wait until marriage, and thus virtually impractical. We believe such viewpoints underestimate the potential of the next generation and feel as though the youth today are desperately looking for truth in the midst of a culture that embraces relativism. We believe that we have a responsibility to tell the truth to single men and women, regardless of age.

We believe that abstinence is a personal decision. We believe that abstinence should be defined as “a personal decision to refrain from all types of sexual activity, regardless of your past, until you become married.”

We believe that abstinence is the best response to social issues such as teen pregnancy and the prevalence of Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

We do not believe that sex is bad, wrong, dirty, nasty or evil. We do not hold such a view, nor do we endorse any form of such a message.

We believe that abstinence is not an issue of religion; it is an issue of wisdom. Reality Unlimited is committed to communicating the importance of making wise choices, which translate far beyond the realm of sexuality.
