Emotional Risks of Oral Sex
What’s love gotta do with it?

I know, I know…you don’t think oral sex is a big deal
and besides, you can’t get anything, right?

Well, you may not be able to become pregnant or get someone pregnant through oral sex. That’s a plus. But what about the other things that can happen?

We’re going to take a look at both physical (STDs) and emotional risks of oral sex. Take a peek…

You’ve been tested and you don’t have an STD. Wow! That’s a relief. Maybe you’ve decided to put off oral sex. Our hope is that you will abstain from oral sex until you are married. That might be a long way off for many of you, but just hear us out.

If you could have 100% protection against STDs and pregnancy, would sex outside of marriage still affect you emotionally? Yes, and here’s why…

You see, sex of any kind leaves a memory of your partner, or partners, forever in your mind. Maybe you were close, maybe you did not love them; maybe you did not even really know them. Guess what? It doesn’t matter. You still remember that you had sex and you will remember that for a long time.

Maybe you will carry those memories into your next relationships or even into your marriage. Then what? Did sex really help you? Nope!

When you do finally commit to someone in a lifelong relationship, you unfortunately carry all the memories from past sexual experiences into your new relationship. Does this mean your new relationship or marriage will fail? No, we are not saying that. Nevertheless, if you have bonded with other people during sex in your past relationships, could that make you less likely to bond in your new relationship? Of course!
